Today, October 24, 2013, we celebrate Food Day – a nationwide celebration and a movement for healthy, affordable, and sustainable food. As we have spent the past few years striving for a healthier lifestyle, we have watched our lives transform. Much of the transformation has come in the form of an improved diet. We have a ways to go but we have made great strides in choosing to eat and preparing better foods that are raw, organic with little or no additives or preservatives. It has taken time, patience and education. We read a lot and pay attention to what we are putting into our mouths. This website, www.foodday.org is a great education resource and a place to join like minded individuals in their quest for bettering our food supply.
Be sure to take the Food Literacy Quiz http://www.foodday.org/food_literacy_quiz – you’ll be surprised at what you don’t know. Join this important movement today.
